Resumen
Esta monografía tuvo como objetivo explicar el desarrollo de las emociones en estudiantes de Educación Básica Regular primaria, identificando los factores de este proceso, además de las estrategias para su manejo. Se utilizó el enfoque cualitativo y la metodología de revisión documental de la investigación. Los resultados mostraron que el desarrollo de las emociones se relaciona con el desarrollo integral; además, en el caso del desarrollo de emociones en niños, la familia y el entorno escolar son factores de influencia directa; mientras que las estrategias para el manejo de emociones buscan la regulación de emociones principalmente. Se concluyó que el desarrollo de emociones en estudiantes de Educación Básica Regular primaria es un proceso que requiere acompañamiento desde la familia, así como en la escuela por parte de los docentes, cuya adecuación en su rol redunda en mejoras de rendimiento académico y en socialización, componentes críticos del desarrollo integral.
The objective of this monograph was to explain the development of emotions in elementary school students, identifying the factors involved in this process, as well as strategies for managing them. A qualitative approach and documentary review methodology were used in the research. The results showed that emotional development is related to overall development. Furthermore, in the case of emotional development in children, the family and school environment are factors that have a direct influence, while strategies for managing emotions mainly seek emotional regulation. It was concluded that emotional development in elementary school students is a process that requires support from the family, as well as from teachers at school, whose adequacy in their role results in improvements in academic performance and socialization, critical components of comprehensive development.
