Resumen
El trabajo académico tuvo como objetivo analizar y explicar el uso del juego tradicional en educación inicial. El método utilizado fue la revisión bibliográfica y la búsqueda de información en fuentes secundarias alojadas en repositorios confiables. Luego, se organizó la información en categorías generales y especificas producto del manejo de información y las lecturas a profundidad que se ha realizado. Los resultados dan cuenta de la construcción de una monografía coherente que aborda dos bloques temáticos: primer bloque el juego y segundo bloque juego tradicional en educación inicial. Las conclusiones ponen en evidencia que el juego es fundamental para el desarrollo cognitivo, físico, social y emocional del niño. Asimismo, promueve el dominio de sí mismo, la honradez, el respeto por las reglas del juego, la creatividad y la iniciativa propia. Por ello, ponerlo en práctica en el aula es un potente recurso pedagógico que garantiza aprendizajes significativos y duraderos. Los juegos tradicionales son actividades divertidas que, se han mantenido a lo largo del tiempo como herencia generacional. Se juegan de acuerdo a la cultura, tradición y costumbres de cada lugar.
The academic assignment aimed to analyze and explain the use of traditional games in early childhood education. The method used was a bibliographic review and a search for information in secondary sources hosted in reliable repositories. The data was then organized into general and specific categories based on the information gathered and the in-depth readings conducted. The results reflect the construction of a coherent monograph that addresses two thematic sections: the first section, play, and the second section, traditional games in early childhood education. The conclusions reveal that play is fundamental to a child's cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development. Moreover, it promotes self-control, honesty, respect for each game's rules, creativity, and self-initiative. Therefore, implementing it in the classroom is a powerful pedagogical resource that guarantees meaningful and lasting learning. Traditional games are fun activities maintained over time as a generational heritage. These games are played according to the culture, traditions, and customs of each child's place of birth.
