Resumen
El trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar las bases conceptuales de la educación ambiental, así como los estrategias y prácticas pedagógicas para promover conciencia ambiental en los niños de educación inicial. La investigación se realizó a través de la revisión bibliográfica, usando diversas fuentes escritas físicas y virtuales. Se obtuvo información de libros, artículos científicos y trabajos de investigación. Los resultados de la búsqueda y análisis de información condujeron a organizar el trabajo en dos bloques temáticos. En el primer bloque se analizó los conceptos básicos de la educación ambiental y en el segundo bloque las estrategias y prácticas pedagógicas más utilizados en este campo. Producto del análisis de la información se concluye afirmando que la educación ambiental es una necesidad imperativa en los momentos cruciales que vive la humanidad y el planeta en el que peligra la vida, ya que emerge como una alternativa para educar a los niños y las nuevas generaciones fomentando la comprensión y conciencia ambiental, el conocimiento ecológico, actitudes y valores para generar compromisos y acciones de uso racional y sostenible de los recursos.
The general objective of the research work was to find out what environmental education consists of, as well as the pedagogical strategies and practices to promote environmental awareness in early childhood education. The research was conducted through bibliographic research and review, using various physical and virtual written sources. Information was obtained from books, scientific articles and research papers. The results of the search and analysis of information led to organizing the work into two thematic blocks. In the first block, the basic concepts of environmental education were analyzed and in the second block, the most used pedagogical strategies and practices in this field. As a result of the analysis of the information, it is concluded that environmental education is an imperative need in the crucial moments that humanity and the planet are experiencing, in which life is in danger, since it emerges as an alternative to educate children and new generations by promoting environmental understanding and awareness, ecological knowledge, attitudes and values to generate commitments and actions for the rational and sustainable use of resources.
