Gross motor skills are described as the set of coordinated skills such as crawling, walking, jogging, jumping, turning, marching, and throwing. These skills are essential for a child's physical and psychomotor development, as they are related to the body's largest muscles, which contribute to better interaction with their environment. The objective of this research was to analyze the evolution of gross motor skills in primary school students, from infancy to early adolescence. The method employed consisted of a thorough evaluation of existing scientific and academic sources, along with information collection and detailed analysis of applied studies. The results provide an understanding of how gross motor skills develop throughout this stage, considering factors such as neurological development, nutrition, genetics, and environmental stimulation. In conclusion, it is evident that gross motor skills evolve progressively, with significant improvements in coordination, balance, strength, and body control during primary education.
