This study examines the educational value of motor-based games during the preschool stage, recognizing them as a key strategy for holistic development in early childhood. The study aims to analyze the importance of motor play and its contributions across various developmental dimensions—educational, cognitive, socio-emotional, psychomotor, and playful—drawing on the theories of Piaget, Vygotsky, Wallon, and Maite Garaigordobil. The research is based on a review of existing studies, theses, scientific articles, and child development theories, providing insight into the role movement plays in the learning process. The results indicate that motor-based play activities foster coordination, balance, spatial awareness, creativity, emotional communication, and social interaction. Furthermore, the findings demonstrate that movement serves as a natural medium through which children construct knowledge, strengthen their autonomy, and develop competencies aligned with the National Curriculum. The study concludes that motor-based games are a valuable pedagogical resource in early childhood education, as they contribute to the child's holistic development and facilitate meaningful learning through the body, action, and play.
