Resumen
Este trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo principal describir y analizar conocimientos teóricos y prácticos sobre el trastorno por déficit de atención con hiperactividad, abordando sus tipos, causas, neurobiología, la importancia de un diagnóstico y tratamiento temprano para mejorar la calidad de vida y el rendimiento académico de los niños que lo padecen. Se utilizó como metodología el análisis documental y la descripción por ejes temáticos. Los resultados determinan que el trastorno por déficit de atención con hiperactividad se manifiesta de diversas maneras y tiene un origen genético, influenciado por factores ambientales, neurotransmisores cuyo tratamiento pedagógico y farmacológico, es fundamental para mejorar el desempeño social y académico de los estudiantes. Se concluye que el trastorno por déficit de atención e hiperactividad en niños de primaria impacta en su desempeño académico, social y emocional, dificultando la concentración, el seguimiento de instrucciones y el control de impulsos, llevando a un bajo rendimiento escolar e inadecuados comportamientos, siendo indispensable la colaboración entre docentes, profesionales de la salud y familiares para un tratamiento integral y multidimensional, combinando diversas estrategias médicas y educativas.
The main objective of this research work is to describe and analyze theoretical and practical knowledge about attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, addressing its types, causes, neurobiology, the importance of early diagnosis and treatment to improve the quality of life and academic performance of children who suffer from it. Documentary analysis and description by thematic axes were used as a methodology. The results determine that attention deficit hyperactivity disorder manifests itself in various ways and has a genetic origin, influenced by environmental factors, neurotransmitters whose pedagogical and pharmacological treatment is essential to improve the social and academic performance of students. It is concluded that attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in primary school children impacts their academic, social and emotional performance, hindering concentration, following instructions and impulse control, leading to poor school performance and inappropriate behaviors, being essential the collaboration between teachers, health professionals and family members for a comprehensive and multidimensional treatment. combining various medical and educational strategies.
