Resumen
Actualmente los niños y adolescentes han dejado de realizar actividades físicas realizadas a través de juegos habituales y las han reemplazado por el uso de celulares, computadoras o dispositivos tecnológicos que promueven la poca actividad física en ellos. Por lo tanto, el presente trabajo académico tuvo como objetivo describir la importancia de los juegos tradicionales para reducir el sedentarismo en los adolescentes, a través de revisiones de trabajos publicados del 2006 al 2023. Para recoger información se utilizó plataformas como Google Académico, Scielo, Alicia, repositorios de universidades, entre otros. Como resultado se obtuvo que los juegos tradicionales son una buena estrategia para mantener en actividad a los adolescentes y así evitar problemas de obesidad, sobrepeso, baja autoestima, estrés y ansiedad. Los adolescentes que realizan este tipo de juegos promueven una vida saludable. En conclusión, La práctica de juegos tradicionales juega un rol importante en el desarrollo integral de los niños y adolescentes ya que permiten desarrollar su imaginación, creatividad; fomentan la autonomía, la comunicación y en gran prevalencia ayuda a generar hábitos saludables, reduce el sedentarismo de una manera gradual.
Currently, children and adolescents have stopped engaging in physical activities through traditional games and have replaced them with the use of cell phones, computers, or technological devices that promote limited physical activity. Therefore, this academic work aimed to describe the importance of traditional games in reducing sedentary lifestyles in adolescents, through reviews of works published from 2006 to 2023. Platforms such as Google Scholar, Scielo, Alicia, university repositories, among others, were used to collect information. The results showed that traditional games are a good strategy to keep adolescents active and thus avoid problems of obesity, overweight, low self-esteem, stress, and anxiety. Adolescents who play these types of games promote a healthy lifestyle. In conclusion, the practice of traditional games plays an important role in the comprehensive development of children and adolescents as they allow them to develop their imagination and creativity; they promote autonomy and communication; and, in high prevalence, they help generate healthy habits and gradually reduce sedentary lifestyles.
