This study aims to analyze information from the scientific literature regarding how adolescents handle conflicts in their interpersonal relationships. To achieve this, a systematized narrative review of research articles was conducted by searching and analyzing databases such as SciELO, Redalyc, Dialnet, and Google Scholar, selecting ten studies published between 2020 and 2025 within Latin America and Spain. The thematic discussion covers emotional intelligence theory and concepts such as interpersonal relationships, conflict, and school coexistence, as well as social and socio-emotional skills—including empathy, assertive communication, self-esteem, self-regulation, mediation, and cooperation. The results demonstrate that strengthening these competencies fosters a cooperative conflict management style, thereby reducing aggressive behaviors and improving the school climate. In conclusion, the way adolescents manage conflicts in their interpersonal relationships is shaped by the interaction between personal and educational factors.
