La metodología de la investigación está apoyada en la revisión bibliográfica, que consiste en recopilar información actualizada de diversas fuentes confiables alojadas en repositorios de alto impacto como Scielo, Redalyc, Google Académico, Alicia Concyect. Como resultado se logró sistematizar la información en dos bloques temáticos: La psicomotricidad, la psicomotricidad fina en educación inicial. Se concluye, a partir de la revisión teórica, que la mejora de las habilidades motoras finas implica la coordinación y movimientos precisos que involucran músculos pequeños especialmente de las manos y los dedos, ya que es primordial para fortalecer y desarrollar las capacidades de manera integral en los niños. Asimismo, las estrategias didácticas de psicomotricidad favorecen el desarrollo integral del niño.The objective of the research work was to analyze and understand the process of fine motor development and its importance in early education. The research methodology is supported by a bibliographic review, which consists of compiling updated information from various reliable sources housed in high impact repositories such as Scielo, Redalyc, Google Scholar, Alicia Concyect. As a result, the information was systematized in two thematic blocks: psychomotor skills and fine psychomotor skills in early education. It is concluded, from the theoretical review, that the improvement of fine motor skills involves coordination and precise movements that involve small muscles, especially of the hands and fingers, since it is essential to strengthen and develop children's abilities in an integral way.
