Abstract
Hoy en día, todo el mundo tiene la necesidad de mejorar el proceso educativo desarrollando una mejor comprensión lectora en los estudiantes, por lo que en la presente investigación el objetivo es fundamentar como la estrategia EPLER contribuye a la mejora de la comprensión lectora en los estudiantes del nivel primario. La metodología utilizada fue de enfoque cualitativo, tipo de investigación básica en su nivel descriptivo, llegando a desarrollar en el análisis del texto que el trabajo de investigación es un proceso activo y voluntario que requiere práctica y esfuerzo, pero que a su vez permite adquirir conocimientos y enriquecer los conocimientos a base de la comprensión de textos. Los docentes pueden utilizar diferentes estrategias de enseñanza para ayudar a los estudiantes a comprender y analizar textos, lo que a su vez les permitirá mejorar su capacidad de comprensión lectora. Llegando a concluir que el uso del método EPLER en la comprensión lectora permite a los lectores mejorar su nivel de comprensión literal, inferencial y crítico, donde la utilización de dichas herramientas les ayuda a extraer y procesar la información de manera más efectiva, lo que a su vez les permite comprender los textos de manera más profunda y significativa.
